Education can be said to be the vehicle by which socio economic prosperity can be brought to a country, state, or community. The capacity to get access to quality education is often hampered by the lack of political and financial wherewithal. It has led to a situation in which so many young adults have no quality education to participate and compete effectively in the 21st century world in which we live. The negative consequences of this scenario do not only affect young people but the society as a whole. It is to ameliorate this that this initiative is muted to give hope to such indigent young adults; by providing them access to quality vocational education, and hands on real world experience. To bring this about we have instituted this initiative structured in a manner that resources are put together in trust, overseen by selected community members and government officials to administer the determination of indigence and the selection of those in critical need that
should benefit from the required financial support to see them through to completion of the educational and vocational program.
Each student will be given 2 years of training by a local person in the selected field of expertise (on the job training) and then take the certification test at Kumasi Technical Institute. Upon passing, they will be certified in an employable trade allowing them to gain employment and stimulate the economy. The cost of the 2 year program will be $500 for each student.
The training will consist of 5 cohorts of 10 students totaling 50 students. Each co-hort is a total of 5k. This is the 1st cohort.
Our goal is to send a total of 50 students to trade school
